What do you think the Centre should be doing?
We are at an early stage of the Centre’s development and in this preliminary learning phase we need to:
- Collate information about activities and resources that already exist to support community engagement in the public sector;
- Establish a dialogue with stakeholders to ensure that our work complements that already underway and to explore ways in which we could collaborate in the future;
- Consult a wide range of potential stakeholders to obtain views about
a. The knowledge, skills and competencies required by individuals and organisations to engage with communities better;
b. Existing training, development opportunities;
c. The most important gaps are in this provision;
e. Where the centre should focus its efforts in the future
We would welcome your views on how you think the centre should develop. Attached is a questionnaire that you can download and email or post back to us. We have to produce plans for the first phase of our work by the end of February so to inform these plans we need your responses by Monday February 7th. We are sorry that the deadline for responses in this case has been relatively short but we have extended our deadline by a week to allow more people an opportunity to respond to the questionnaire. As the work of the centre evolves we will be asking people for their views and comments on other parts of our programme so for anyone who is not able to respond in this timescale there will be other opportunities to give us their views.
